Session 1: Welcome to Watercolour
Go through Watercolour basics, principles, and materials. In addition, you will experiment with washes and brush marks.
Session 2: Water Control, Brush Control and Values
Learn and practice water and brush control by learning about value. You will experiment with value range of individual colours in your palette while creating fun and exciting gradients to be used in future paintings of this course.
Session 3: Limited Palette Colour Mixing
Learn the basics of Colour Mixing and Colour theory using a limited palette. Mix neutral tones, dark values and even black without using any black pigment.
Session 4: Basic Watercolour Washes
Explore wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry painting techniques and experiment with hard and soft edges. Laura will also show you how to time your washes to avoid common Watercolour pitfalls.
Session 5: Glazes and Layers
Build on your Washes and learn how to create deep and complex colours by layering multiple washes of Watercolour on top of each other.
Laura will teach you how to create edges and paint from light to dark, which is crucial for painting with Watercolour.
Session 6:Texture Galore
Begin to take it to the next level. You will learn many tips and tricks to create exciting textures in your Watercolour Landscapes.
Session 7: Landscape Architecture
Take everything you learned and bring it together for a Watercolour Landscape Painting. Laura will go through the planning process, choosing a good reference photo, the importance of a good drawing, and choosing composition and colour profiles.
At the end of this course, you would have a solid method to paint beautiful landscapes.
