Great question! Here is a short description for every single class:

In this lesson, Laura provides the course overview, introduces Watercolour basics and principles, and demonstrates Watercolour materials. In addition, you will experiment with washes and brush marks, skills that will get refined as you progress through the course.

Session 2: Water Control, Brush Control and Values

In this lesson, you will learn and practice water and brush control by learning about value. You will experiment with value range of individual colours in your palette while creating fun and exciting gradients to be used in future paintings of this course.

Session 3: Limited Palette Colour Mixing

Learn the basics of Colour Mixing and Colour theory using a limited palette. You will learn to mix neutral tones, dark values and even black without using any black pigment.

By the end of this session, you will have created many colour charts that will act as a reference for future paintings.

You will also learn to see and colour-match your reference photos and be surprised that sometimes the colour you see is different from what you thought!

Session 4: Basic Watercolour Washes

The real fun of Landscape painting begins, as it's all about Watercolour washes. You will explore wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry painting techniques and experiment with hard and soft edges.

Laura will show you how to time your washes to avoid common Watercolour pitfalls.

Session 5: Glazes and Layers

Build on your Washes and learn how to create deep and complex colours by layering multiple washes of Watercolour on top of each other.

Laura will teach you how to create edges and paint from light to dark, which is crucial for painting with Watercolour.

Begin to take it to the next level. You will learn many tips and tricks to create exciting textures in your Watercolour Landscapes.

Splatters, salts, dry brushing, blooms .. the possibilities the endless!

Session 7: Landscape Architecture

Take everything you learned and bring it together for a Watercolour Landscape Painting. Laura will go through the planning process, choosing a good reference photo, the importance of a good drawing, and choosing composition and colour profiles.

After this class, you will have a reliable method to paint more landscapes.
