Tina Hotchkiss
Tina Hotchkiss is an artist and art instructor from The United States. She grew up in Ohio and now lives in Michigan. She graduated from The Ohio State University despite struggling with dyslexia. She found her voice in art and surrounds herself with artsy people for their kindness and exciting stories.
Tina’s primary medium is watercolour, but she adds gesso, coloured pencil, and ink. She is a fan of black and white contrast in pen and ink and graphite drawing. She has mastered the skill of perspective drawing, and she loves to teach it because every artist should be able to do it. Tina enjoys trying new mediums and finding new uses for them in her art. Her primary subject is light, and the shapes and forms light shows us.
Tina’s goal for teaching is to share her love of art with everyone. She hopes her students feel her excitement and can find the artist inside themselves. According to her, art should make people feel good about themselves and want to share it with others. She believes art is a learned skill, and anyone can be an artist if they have the desire, dedication, and determination to be one.
