Form and Shine for Watercolour Fish

Learn to convey the form and shine of a fish with one of Etchr’s Resident Artists, Jun-Pierre Shiozawa (@junpierre). He’ll show you how to use various techniques, including gradated washes, colour dropping and wet in wet to create the lustre and shine on a fish. You’ll learn to capture the characteristics of a fish and how that can be transferable to other subjects. Check out his reference photos and linework.

This class is for beginner to intermediate artists, who are well acquainted with the medium and supplies.

• A5 watercolour sketchbook (Suggested: The Perfect Sketchbook A5)

• Watercolour paints (Suggested: Etchr Watercolour)

• Watercolour brushes (Suggested: Etchr Watercolour Brushes)

• India Ink, HB, F or 2B Pencil & eraser

• Cling Wrap, Salt & sponge

• Spray bottle, water container & paper towels

• Blowdryer
